Having visited over ten manyattas and only our host Pastor Michael who has a toilet which in unfinished. We got worried over ourselves and the community.When asked why do the Maasai community among other pastoralists lack toilet, they said that they are used to go to the bushes to ease themselves since the time of memorial, they have two sides one for men and another for the women.

The community lack enough sensitization, knowledge and understanding on important of toilets, they also have cultural myths, traditions and conceptions on use of toilets.
