One Manyatta, One toilet is a project that responds to the urgent need for better sanitation and hygiene amongst the often marginalized and pastoral communities that lack proper sanitary facilities from the pastoral nature of their living.
The initiatives seeks to create awareness on health and sanitation needs and offer support in creating toilets and sanitation systems for the community with the project coordination of the host pastor Michael, who has been dedicated to working closely with the Maasai community in rural Kenya where community lacks adequate sensitization, knowledge and understanding on importance of toilets and improved sanitation, they also have cultural myths, traditions and mis-conceptions on use of toilets.
